ATLANTA – March 24, 2016 – EarthShare of Georgia is a nonprofit that connects people to trusted non-profits dedicated to conserving and protecting our air, land and water. In April of 2016 we will celebrate Earth Day with three key events designed to foster business and environmental partnerships, increase awareness about the environment and raise critical funds to support EarthShare of Georgia’s mission. This year’s theme of “Land Conservation” will be featured through all three events.

EarthShare of Georgia is partnering with the West Atlanta Watershed Alliance (WAWA) on a stream clean-up of Grove Park in NW Atlanta on Saturday, November 14, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.  We invite you to participate as a company team!  Grove Park is in the Proctor Creek watershed, one of the most threatened watersheds in the Atlanta area.

Saliter Lunches

In 2010 as part of the anti-childhood-obesity initiative the amount of sodium in school lunches was reduced. Currently, the School Nutrition Association tries to undo the low-sodium restriction. EarthShare National member group Union of Concerned Scientists is working to keep the low-sodium restrictions to keep our school kids healthier.
