COVID-19 Update: EarthShare Georgia NEW DATES for the Corporate Green Day Challenge and Earth Day Leadership Breakfast

On behalf of EarthShare Georgia, thank you for your support of our 2020 Earth Day events and throughout the year.

We share your concerns about COVID-19 Coronavirus and, in the spirit of taking every possible precaution to protect the communities we work with as well as all our guests, sponsors, volunteers, and employees, we have made the decision to postpone both The Corporate Green Day Challenge and The Earth Day Leadership Breakfast.

At this time we are still planning to hold our EarthShare Georgia Celebrates Party on May 28 at SweetWater Brewery from 5:30-8:30 pm.

Presently, Atlanta has a small number of confirmed cases of COVID-19. To help keep cases in Atlanta to a minimum we have elected to follow recommendations of the World Health Organization and theCenters for Disease Control and reschedule the Corporate Green Day Challenge to September 18-22 and the Leadership Breakfast to Monday, September 28th.  We are fortunate that Ryan Gravel is still available to be the keynote speaker. We encourage you to take this time to get outside, plant a garden, take walks, go on a hike and connect with others virtually.  We will be preparing information on various ways you can celebrate Earth Day and especially the 50th anniversary of Earth Month regardless of the postponement of events.

Your support of our events and for EarthShare Georgia throughout the year is critical to sustaining our mission. We hope that you are able join us at the end of May, in September and for other events planned for this fall. Please check your calendars now, save the dates, and let me know. We will send out an additional reminder as we move forward with plans.  Please note that if you purchased individual “tickets” your payment will automatically transfer to the new date. If you need to cancel your registration, we ask that you consider donating the registration fee.  The Earth Day event revenue is crucial to our operating support, and as a nonprofit organization we depend upon support from donors to make our work possible. If you choose to donate the fee, we will provide you with a tax acknowledgement letter.

Our thoughts continue to be with all who have been impacted by the coronavirus. We hope that by following public health recommendations, we can all look forward to a healthy summer.

Please feel free to contact my staff or me if you have any questions.

Best regards,

Madeline
