Okefenokee Swamp Adventure Weekend with Georgia Conservancy
Registration for two (2) for a signature stewardship trip like the Okefenokee excursion, plus 2 Georgia Conservancy hats. Join the Georgia Conservancy for a weekend exploration of one of the most beautiful places in Georgia: the Okefenokee Swamp. Guests will have the opportunity to paddle the mysterious tea-colored water of the Okefenokee with a naturalist guide and learn about the natural wonders and fascinating cultural history found in the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge. Includes a camping spot, boat rental, meal ticket (if available), and participation in guided paddles. Please plan to provide your own tent; or you can rent one from our GearBank for a small additional charge. Tentatively scheduled for October 23 – 25, 2019. Date and signature trip opportunity are subject to change per state and local regulations and CDC guidelines. Outdoor Excursion in the Field with the Orianne Society
You have a choice of working with us in South Georgia (around Telfair County) on the stunning sandhills of longleaf pine, finding species such as the Gopher Tortoises or going out with our land management team on a prescribed fire. Or joining us in Vermont to study Wood Turtles along beautiful creeks in the Northeast Kingdom. Or you can join us in the summer months in the Appalachian Highlands on North Carolina surveying for Timber Rattlesnakes amoung beautiful high peaks overlooking lush valleys.
This is an adventure trip with some inherent risks, such as wildlife, biting insects, and rough terraine.
