Join the Georgia Conservancy for a weekend exploration of one of the most beautiful places in Georgia: the Okefenokee Swamp. Guests will have the opportunity to paddle the mysterious tea-colored water of the Okefenokee with a naturalist guide and learn about the natural wonders and fascinating cultural history found in the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge. Includes a camping spot, boat rental, meal ticket (if available), and participation in guided paddles. Please plan to provide your own tent; or you can rent one from our GearBank for a small additional charge. Tentatively scheduled for October 23 – 25, 2019. Date and signature trip opportunity are subject to change per state and local regulations and CDC guidelines. Should the trip offering change, The Georgia Conservancy may substitute a similar opportunity of equivalent value. Redeemable through 6/30/2021.

Patrol Boat Tour with Chattahoochee Riverkeeper Jason Ulseth

Take up to a 3-hour a ride on our custom-built boat, the only entity — governmental or non-governmental — to routinely patrol and test water quality in the river between Buford Dam and West Point Lake. This boat can run without a traditional propeller and navigate the river in as little as three inches of water where other boats can not. Riverkeeper Jason Ulseth will take you on a tour of the beautiful Chattahoochee River, educating you on its history, wildlife, and any current issues affecting the river. VALUE $500

Outdoor Excursion in the Field with the Orianne Society

You have a choice of working with us in South Georgia (around Telfair County) on the stunning sandhills of longleaf pine, finding species such as the Gopher Tortoises or going out with our land management team on a prescribed fire. Or joining us in Vermont to study Wood Turtles along beautiful creeks in the Northeast Kingdom. Or you can join us in the summer months in the Appalachian Highlands on North Carolina surveying for Timber Rattlesnakes amoung beautiful high peaks overlooking lush valleys.

This is an adventure trip with some inherent risks, such as wildlife, biting insects, and rough terraine.
