Air… it is all around us and crucial to our survival.
Try holding your breath for a few minutes, and you will find out! We often forget how important clean air is until we witness the impact of pollution. Polluted air, particularly from CO2 emissions, affects our health and well-being, with children and the elderly being the most vulnerable populations. EarthShare of Georgia’s member groups work every day to help improve our air, land and water and all are committed to a more sustainable Georgia.
Each year EarthShare of Georgia’s Earth Day events focus on either air, land or water as the over-arching theme. Our goal is to help increase awareness of these important environmental topics; under which many more issues fall; and to connect the business and environmental communities. For our 2018 events, we will explore the issues of waste management, recycling, and renewable energy that have a direct impact on air quality, as well as the benefits of clean and plentiful air to our health and well-being.
I hope you will join us as we give some well-deserved attention to AIR, and celebrate EarthShare of Georgia’s 25th anniversary!
